The core of modern metallurgical equipment design is human-centered, integrating innovation, green environmental protection, and intelligentization. Distinguishing itself from traditional designs that solely focus on functional implementation, current mainstream design concepts can be categorized into three types:

 

1. Innovative Functional Concept:

This concept centers on meeting the needs of process upgrades, emphasizing design optimization to suit actual production scenarios. A typical example is electric furnace design, which involves evaluating and improving based on existing steel plant operating conditions. The goal is to improve energy input efficiency, reduce power consumption, and optimize maintenance operations. Structural reconfiguration enhances equipment reliability and production efficiency, ultimately achieving increased output and reduced production costs.

 

2. Green Environmental Protection Concept:

This is the core development direction for current metallurgical equipment design. Given the high pollution and high energy consumption characteristics of the metallurgical industry, it requires integrating pollution control and energy-saving requirements from the design stage. This involves optimizing furnace structure and selecting energy-saving materials to reduce energy loss, and designing comprehensive waste gas and slag treatment facilities to reduce the environmental impact of production and promote the sustainable development of the metallurgical industry.

 

3. Human-centered and Intelligent Design Concepts:

The design prioritizes user experience and production safety. Remote monitoring and automated operation are achieved through an automated control system, which reduces the intensity of manual labor and minimizes safety risks caused by human error. At the same time, a reasonable spatial layout and protective design provide operators with a safer and more convenient working environment.
